A slow PC should be history. With advancement in innovations and technology, having a slow PC will give you the idea of living through ancient times. Bcause of this that we always try to look for ways to speed up their computers.

If you are experiencing this, then this is the correct place. Yes, there is a lot of tweaking and modifying involved in speeding up a PC. But then again, these easy things are worth a try.

Here are some ways to speed up my Windows:

> Getting bored with the menu delays is really annoying. Lessen the time to load menu transitions through right clicking your desktop. Click Properties and Click the Effects tab. Unchoose the Animate windows menu lists. For those who use Windows XP, this can be done by right-clicking on the desktop, selecting Properties, choosing the Appearance tab, clicking the Effects option and uncheck Use the following transition effects for menus and tooltips, then Select OK.

> Speed up Windows Start Up by deleting out the applications you dont use at start-up. For Windows 98 users, this could be done through Start menu and clicking Run. Type in MSConfig.exe and hit OK button Click the Start up tab then deselect the softwares you wish to disableduring the startup. As you see, you may be able to speed start up Windows if you cut down the programs and applications that your computer needs to wake up.

> Defrag may be an old school process but it doesnt fail to help anyone who has speed problems. Look for the defrag option under your System Tools menu from the Accessories or Start Tab. Be sure that you dedicate a time for defragging. Using different software as the same time as defragging restricts the process itself.

> Prefering to install your software would be best if you always encounter script and other minor errors. Run a virus scan before you back up all of your important files Moreover, be sure that you have a back up copy of your harware drives before erasing files from your hard drvies Reinstalling your application takes at least an hour or so

> This is a very basic tip that you should regularly do: Remove any unused programs. Software, though you are making use of them or not, take up space in your hard disk. If you arent using them, then is there still a need to keep them?
